Version History Wishlist covers are back in full colour, priority is one long press away, and your library can catch up on time to beat.

WHAT'S NEW
- Wishlist in Full Colour: wishlist covers are no longer greyed out. A pink heart marks them instead.
- Set Priority (Pro): long-press any game in your library to set its priority, right next to Set Status.
- Time to Beat for Every Game (Pro): a badge on More lets you know when Refresh All Metadata can add new details like time to beat to the games already in your library. It now asks before it starts.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Barcode lookups now finish within a fixed time limit instead of waiting on a slow source.
- Refreshing a single game makes half as many requests.
- Better VoiceOver support: remove filters and hear Refresh All progress in full.

SQUASHED BUGS
- Fixed the upgrade screen trying to open twice when adding a game from its page on a free account.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.7.1 Sep 28 Organize a big backlog your way: separate grouping and sorting, a new Must Play priority, and Time to Beat on every game.

WHAT'S NEW
- Sort Your Way: Group By and Sort By are now separate controls. Group your library by status, platform or anything else, then order the games inside each group. Tap a sort again to flip it.
- Must Play (Pro): sort and filter your library by Priority, with a new Must Play tier above High. Priority now shows on your game cards.
- Time to Beat: see how long a game takes to finish (Main Story, Main + Extras and 100%) right on its page.
- Steam Import, Now Free: bring your Steam library in without Pro. A free library keeps your 500 most-played games, and the import tells you what upgrading adds.
- Playing, Most Recent First: Playing is now a regular section with portrait covers, ordered by what you played last, and its header tells you when that was.
- Condition at a Glance: a physical copy's condition now shows on its card, and on search results for games you own.
- Wishlist Stays Separate: wishlist games have their own section at the end of your library, and covers of games you don't own are clearly marked.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Rebuilt how the app opens sheets and screens so two can never try to appear at once, the cause of a rare crash at launch and after imports.
- Clearer, higher-contrast text on the Steam import screens.
- Stability fixes for the latest iOS.

SQUASHED BUGS
- Fixed deleting a copy, or importing a CSV, making a Pro-only platform copy your primary copy on a free account.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.7.0 Sep 25 Restoring your library to a new iPhone now shows you what's happening — and brings every game back exactly once.

WHAT'S NEW
- Syncing, Not Empty: on a new device or a fresh install, MyGames now tells you it is fetching your library from iCloud instead of showing an empty shelf. A large collection takes a few minutes, and now you can watch it work.
- Clearer With VoiceOver: every icon-only button across the app now announces what it does.
- One Consistent Blue: controls throughout the app now use the MyGames blue instead of the iOS default, so the whole app reads as one piece.

SQUASHED BUGS
- Fixed every game coming back with two identical copies after restoring a large library to a new device.
- Fixed your library looking empty after a reinstall, when a filter saved from another device matched nothing.
- Fixed a Pro-only platform copy still showing as your primary copy on a free account.
- Fixed the CSV import button scrolling out of reach on long import lists, and reading "Add 1 Games".
- Fixed the More button on a game's description measuring against the wrong font, cutting long descriptions off early.
- Fixed the CSV import results screen at the largest accessibility text sizes: readable contrast, and rows that reflow instead of squeezing.
- Fixed the "Recent Searches" list staying on screen when you scroll your search results.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.6.3 Sep 15 Import or delete thousands of games without the app locking up, and a rebuilt engine behind every search.

WHAT'S NEW
- Duplicate Steam Listings, Your Call: when Steam lists the same game more than once, you choose which one to keep instead of ending up with whichever we picked.
- Readable At Any Text Size: search results, the Steam import screens and game details now reflow properly at the largest accessibility text sizes, instead of squeezing titles into a sliver beside the cover.

UNDER THE HOOD
- A rebuilt connection to our game database: leaner requests, fewer round trips, and steadier results when the network is poor.
- Saving an import is far faster. It now checks your library once rather than three times for every game.
- Steam import artwork is cached and reused, so scrolling a big import stays smooth and uses a fraction of the memory.
- Deleting a large selection no longer blocks the app while it works.

SQUASHED BUGS
- Fixed a long import appearing to hang: the final "saving to your library" stage never showed itself.
- Fixed the delete confirmation coming up blank when you selected a whole large library.
- Fixed some games being matched twice during a Steam import, so the number we promised matches what actually arrived.
- Fixed a game link label showing in English for Spanish, French and Portuguese players.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.6.2 Aug 29 A vastly improved Steam import: libraries with thousands of games are ready in minutes.

WHAT'S NEW
- Big Steam Libraries, Handled: your games are matched by Steam ID rather than guessed from their titles, so a library of several thousand imports in minutes.
- A Results Screen Built For It: matches that need a look, and games we couldn't place, now sit at the top instead of below thousands of rows. Every section folds away, and the Add button stays put.
- Search Finds Everything: games on Pro-only platforms used to return nothing at all. Now you'll see them, and what Pro would add.
- Games You Own, Where You Expect Them: tap one in Similar Games or This Series and you land on your own page, not another tab.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Import tells you which stage it's on, how many games are done, and roughly how long is left.
- Faster, more reliable cover art, cleaner layouts at large text sizes, and charts that no longer rely on colour alone.

SQUASHED BUGS
- Fixed a game showing up twice in the same section.
- Fixed the wrong cover flashing on a card while artwork loaded.
- Fixed Pro subscribers briefly hitting the free library limit at launch.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.6.1 Aug 25 A whole new look, built around your cover art — and a new Home Screen icon to go with it.

WHAT'S NEW
- Cover-Led Design: the app takes its colour from the artwork you're looking at, so every screen feels like the game you're in.
- A Real Game Page: full-bleed hero artwork and a page rebuilt around it — your copies, the facts, the media and where to go next, each where you expect it.
- All the Media Together: screenshots, trailers and artwork share one row, and one swipe takes you through the lot full screen.
- A Native Tab Bar: the Liquid Glass tab bar iOS 26 gives you, readable over any cover, with each screen sliding in from its own side.
- Collections With Covers: your Collections show their games' artwork edge to edge instead of a plain list.
- Pro App Icons (Pro): six Home Screen icons — Classic and Graphite free, Gold, Crimson, Emerald and Violet for Pro. Pick yours under More.
- Easier Multi-Platform Copies (Pro): search a game you already own and it shows the platforms you have it on, with Add Platform right there.
- Quick Playtime Logging: log a session straight from any card, without opening the game first.
- New games now land in Backlog instead of Playing, so Playing means what it says.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Text and icons scale properly with Dynamic Type across the app.
- Text, badges and status marks are brighter and easier to read — in daylight, at low brightness, and at large text sizes.
- Purchases retry instead of giving up, and Pro unlocks more reliably while your subscription is still being checked.
- Fewer, clearer alerts the first time you open the app after updating.

SQUASHED BUGS
- Fixed a finger dragging across a copy's star rating silently changing that rating instead of scrolling the page.
- Fixed game detail scrolling under the status bar, so the clock no longer sits on your text.
- Fixed older games showing a release year one year early.
- Fixed the recent searches list not growing, and the search bar jumping while results loaded.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.6.0 Aug 17 Your library stays exactly as you left it, on every device.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Safer syncing, your full library at launch, and edits that always land where you expect.
- A clearer path to Pro, including purchases waiting on Ask to Buy.
- Smoother Steam and CSV imports.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.5.2 Aug 11 The barcode scanner grew up — and search got a lot smarter. A bigger viewfinder, a flashlight for glossy cases, and results that actually match what you're looking for.

WHAT'S NEW
- Bigger Viewfinder: The live preview is now full-width with a barcode-shaped guide, so lining up a case is far easier than squinting at a tiny window.
- Flashlight Toggle: Kill the glare on shrink-wrap and dark shelves without leaving the scanner.
- Enter Barcode Manually: Can't get a clean scan? Tap to type the digits printed under the bars and look the game up anyway.
- Clearer Camera Setup: The scanner now explains why it needs your camera before iOS asks, and if access is already off it takes you straight to Settings instead of leaving you stuck.
- Out of Experimental: Scanning is no longer labeled experimental — it's a first-class way to add physical games.
- Smarter Search: Search now understands accents, sequel numbers spelled either way, and packaging words, so a long title like "god of war ragnarok launch edition" finds Ragnarök instead of something that merely has "war" in the name.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Barcode lookups check several game databases in turn, and one slow or unavailable database no longer stops the rest — so more scans find a match.
- Closing the scanner mid-lookup now cancels it cleanly, instead of dropping an unexpected title into your search.
- Search is far lighter than it was, fetching a fraction of the data per query, and sweeping through platform filters now sends one request instead of one per tap.
- VoiceOver reads the scanner screens properly, and the camera permission prompt is now translated in every supported language.

SQUASHED BUGS
- Fixed a serious sync bug where updating the app could remove games from your library — and spread that removal to your other devices. Loading your library no longer deletes anything, ever.
- Launching without an internet connection no longer shows a false "subscription expired" alert or temporarily hides Pro sorting and filters.
- Subscription status and prices now load more reliably on spotty connections.
- Scanning with camera access turned off used to say "Scan failed. Please try again." — a retry that could never work. It now tells you what's wrong and how to fix it.
- Granting camera access in Settings and coming back now works right away, with no need to relaunch the app.
- A scanned game — or any long, wordy title — could come back with a completely unrelated game at the top of the results.
- Scrolling past the first screen of results no longer appends an endless tail of popular games that have nothing to do with your search, and newly loaded results no longer shuffle the rows you're already reading.
- Cancelling a search while it was still loading could leave the spinner spinning, and toggling platform filters quickly could leave the list showing results for a filter you'd already changed.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.5.1 Aug 10 Never miss a launch again — 4.5.0 adds release reminders and play nudges, free for everyone, plus widget improvements and a library that remembers how you left it.

WHAT'S NEW
- Release Reminders: Get a heads-up a week before a wishlist game launches, plus a reminder the morning it releases. Just add wishlist games with release dates and turn on notifications.
- Play Nudges: A gentle heads-up when a game you're playing has been sitting idle for a while — at most once a week, never spammy.
- Notification Controls: Turn each reminder type on or off anytime under More > Notifications.
- Now Playing Widget: New pointers help you set up the free widget — your current games at a glance on your home screen — and now you can log a play session right from it, without opening the app. Pro adds one-tap timed sessions.
- Upcoming Release Widget: A new Show Multiple Games option lets the widget count down several upcoming launches at once, instead of only the next one.
- Your Library, As You Left It (Pro): Filters and sorting now stay put between launches, sync across your devices with iCloud, and survive a reinstall.
- Smarter Status and Rating Sorting: Multi-platform games are now matched on any copy you own, so sorting and filtering by status or rating no longer overlooks a copy.
- Sharper Release Dates: Game details now show exactly as much as we know — a day, a month, a quarter, or just a year — instead of guessing at a precise date.
- Last Played: Show when you last touched each game on your customizable game cards.
- Redesigned More Menu: The old dropdown is now a proper sheet that's easier to reach and navigate.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Cover art is now decoded once and shared across search, your library, game details, and fullscreen — less memory used, smoother scrolling, and a cleaner fullscreen zoom.
- Reminders quietly stay up to date in the background, so they're accurate even when you haven't opened the app in a while.
- Text now scales with your device's Larger Text setting again, so the app is easier to read at any size.
- Improved crash reporting so we can find and fix issues faster.

SQUASHED BUGS
- Fixed two crashes on iOS 26 when opening certain sheets, including the platform picker from Search.
- The active filter count is now legible at a glance.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.5.0 Aug 5 A smoother welcome and clearer Pro — 4.4.2 makes getting started easier.

WHAT'S NEW
- Faster Start: New here? You can now add your first games right from the welcome flow, so your library is never empty when you begin.
- Clearer Pro: Locked features now tell you exactly what they unlock — like Community Rating, Artwork Gallery, and Related Games — instead of a generic prompt.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Fuller translations across the app for Spanish, French, and Portuguese.

SQUASHED BUGS
- Fixed filtering not opening from a brand-new, empty library.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.4.2 Jul 18 Sharper filtering and steadier performance — 4.4.1 polishes the details of your library.

WHAT'S NEW
- Smarter Platform Filtering: Filtering and stats now reflect the platforms you actually own, not every platform a game happens to be available on.
- Unknown Platform Group: Copies without a recognized platform are now grouped together so nothing slips out of view.

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.4.1 Jul 16 Make every game card your own — 4.4.0 puts you in control of what each card shows.

WHAT'S NEW
- Configurable Game Cards (Pro): Enter jiggle mode to drag, drop, and resize the fields on each card and design your ideal layout.
- All Cards or This One (Pro): Set one layout for your whole library, or customize a single game.
- New Trackable Fields (Pro): Completion level, backlog priority, price paid, condition, difficulty, and more.
- Visual Tile Widgets (Pro): Completion rings, priority bars, condition badges, and spend at a glance.
- Layouts Sync Across Devices (Pro): Your card design follows you everywhere via iCloud.

UNDER THE HOOD
- Your new card fields are now included in CSV and JSON export (Pro).

Enjoying MyGames Database? A quick App Store rating helps a lot. 4.4.0 Jul 13 - Filter your library by status (Pro).
- Reliability fixes and polish. 4.3.1 Jul 7 • CSV Import — Bring your entire library in from a spreadsheet. We match your titles automatically and show you what came in.

• Improved CSV Export — Back up or move your collection with a clean export that imports right back in, every platform included.

• Search Your Collections — Quickly find a collection by name, or search the games inside one.

• Better Sharing — Sharing games and exporting your library is faster and more reliable.

Plus bug fixes and polish throughout. 4.3.0 Jul 4 • Pro: search and URL paste now cover every platform IGDB knows about.
• Mixed-tier libraries stay usable when Pro lapses — and snap right back when you resubscribe.
• Clearer messaging for lapsed Pro, plus a tidier Sort by Platform. 4.2.3 May 18 New: paste an IGDB game URL straight into search to add games name-search can't find — perfect for obscure releases and deluxe editions. 4.2.2 May 11 • Bigger, easier-to-tap chips on the platform copy card
• Refreshing metadata now updates the screen immediately
• Small fixes and polish 4.2.1 May 7 Multi-Platform Copies (Pro)
Track the same game across every platform and store you own it on. Each copy keeps its own status, rating, review, strategy notes, and playtime — so your PS5 playthrough doesn't overwrite your Steam Deck save notes. Reorder copies, set a primary, and delete individuals without losing the game.

Region-Aware Release Dates
Games now show the release date for your region and primary platform — so EU and JP players stop seeing North American launch dates on multi-region titles. Switch your primary platform and the date updates to match.

Better Exports (Pro)
PDF exports now render each platform copy as its own card with the cover art repeated. CSV produces one row per copy with copy-specific fields. JSON export is cleaner and more portable.

Plus
- Smoother iCloud sync with fewer duplicate-game edge cases
- Faster, more reliable Steam re-imports
- VoiceOver improvements on Game Detail

Grouped Platform Picker (Pro)
Finding platforms is no longer a chore. Pro users get a new searchable sheet with 11 categories — Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, Sega, Atari, PC/Computer, Mobile, VR/AR, Arcade, Streaming, and more.

JSON export is cleaner and more portable.

version 4.7.1

posted on 2026-10-02

4.7.1 4d ago Organize a big backlog your way: separate grouping and sorting, a new Must Play priority, and Time to Beat on every game.

WHAT'S NEW
- Sort Your Way: Group By and Sort By are now separate controls.
